2. Website access and hosting
When you access this website, technically necessary data is processed, particularly your IP address, date and time, requested address, data transferred, status messages, browser and device information and, where applicable, the referring page. This supports website delivery, availability and security, as well as error and abuse detection. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is the secure operation of this website.
The website is provided through OpenAI Sites. OpenAI and its infrastructure providers, particularly Cloudflare, process technical access data for this purpose. Processing may take place outside the EU or EEA. Information about contractual data protection and transfer arrangements is available in the Data processing addendum for Sites and the list of subprocessors . Processing exclusively in Germany or Europe is not guaranteed. Information about the safeguards applicable to this website can be requested from the controller.
3. Project brief and contact
The quick inquiry and detailed project brief process your entries in your browser until you select Send inquiry. Your name, email address and project details are then transmitted to FormSubmit (Devro LABS) and forwarded to Fischer Media by email. We do not store inquiries in a separate website database. FormSubmit states that it retains submissions for 30 days. Its service also processes technical information needed for delivery and spam protection. Processing may take place outside the EU or EEA. You may instead contact us directly by email or telephone.
FormSubmit privacy information.
If you contact us by email or telephone, we process your contact details and the content of your enquiry to handle it and communicate with you. Article 6(1)(b) GDPR applies to contractual enquiries; Article 6(1)(f) GDPR applies to other enquiries on the basis of our interest in responding. Providing this information is voluntary; without suitable contact details, we cannot reply.
The contact address uses Google’s Gmail. When messages are sent, the email providers involved process message content, contact details and technical communication data; this may include processing outside the EEA. Google provides further information in its privacy information . Please do not send particularly sensitive information by email unless requested.
4. Cookies, media and external links
Fischer Media’s website features use no analytics or advertising trackers and do not set cookies. Only your explicitly selected language and appearance are saved as “fischer-preferences” in local storage until you change these settings or clear your website data. Form entries and usage profiles are not stored there. Fonts, photos, 3D libraries and adaptive film streams are served through this website. No external video players or social media feeds are embedded. Information about the technical hosting infrastructure is available under Cookies.
The showreel and Theros film use their existing Wix media CDN (video.wixstatic.com) for default 4K playback and compatibility playback. Opening a film can request its video metadata from this CDN before you press play. Wix receives your IP address and technical request information to deliver these video files. No Wix video player is embedded.
External links only connect to the linked website when you click them. The respective provider’s notices apply to its processing.
5. Retention and recipients
Enquiries are retained for as long as necessary to handle them, communicate subsequently, or establish or defend legal claims. Where statutory commercial or tax retention obligations apply, the relevant records are retained for the prescribed period and then deleted. Technical hosting data is processed according to the hosting provider’s periods necessary for operation, security and error analysis. We do not set a separate blanket retention period in days.
Recipients include the service providers required for hosting and email and, where necessary, authorities or professional advisers subject to confidentiality, insofar as a legal obligation or necessary enforcement of rights requires this. Fischer Media does not carry out automated decision-making, including profiling.
6. Your rights
Subject to the statutory requirements, you have rights of access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18) and data portability (Article 20). You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. The lawfulness of previous processing remains unaffected. Please use the contact address above.
7. Right to object
Where processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time under Article 21 GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then stop processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves legal claims. You may object to direct marketing at any time without giving reasons.
8. Right to complain
Under Article 77 GDPR, you may complain to a data protection supervisory authority, particularly in your place of residence, place of work or the location of the alleged infringement. In Lower Saxony, this is the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony.
